Nikki Bruno Clapper, Editor & Writer
I am an editor of nonfiction and fiction books for children and adults, language arts and ELL textbooks, scholarly journals, corporate communication, and marketing materials.
I learned from the best as an in-house editor at Scholastic and Prentice Hall. Since 2007, I have worked on a freelance basis. My clients include major publishers, book-development companies, and individual authors.
dynamo + perfectionist = me
As an editor, I advocate for both the reader and the writer. I relentlessly perfect details without losing sight of the big picture. My work is efficient, accurate, and uncompromising.
I have an undergraduate degree in anthropology from Princeton University and a master’s degree in teaching and curriculum from the Harvard Graduate School of Education. I am a former high school English teacher and nonprofit administrator. A resident of the Boston area for ten years, I am an avid traveler, scuba diver, choral singer, and yoga practitioner.
